Ibn Abbas narrated that : the Prophet said: Tawaf around the House is similar to Salat except that you talk during it. So whoever talks in it, then let him not say but good.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الطَّوَافُ حَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ مِثْلُ الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا أَنَّكُمْ تَتَكَلَّمُونَ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَنْ تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا يَتَكَلَّمَنَّ إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغَيْرُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَوْقُوفًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ مَرْفُوعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْ لَا يَتَكَلَّمَ الرَّجُلُ فِي الطَّوَافِ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بیت اللہ کے گرد طواف نماز کے مثل ہے۔ البتہ اس میں تم بول سکتے ہو ( جب کہ نماز میں تم بول نہیں سکتے ) تو جو اس میں بولے وہ زبان سے بھلی بات ہی نکالے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث ابن طاؤس وغیرہ نے ابن عباس سے موقوفاً روایت کی ہے۔ ہم اسے صرف عطاء بن سائب کی روایت سے مرفوع جانتے ہیں، ۲- اسی پر اکثر اہل علم کا عمل ہے، یہ لوگ اس بات کو مستحب قرار دیتے ہیں کہ آدمی طواف میں بلا ضرورت نہ بولے ( اور اگر بولے ) تو اللہ کا ذکر کرے یا پھر علم کی کوئی بات کہے۔

Ibn Abbas narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said about the (Black) Stone: By Allah! Allah will raise it on the Day of Resurrection with two eyes by which it sees and a tongue that it speaks with, testifying to whoever touched it in truth.
