As-Sa'ib bin Yazid narrated: My father took me for Hajj with the Messenger of Allah during the Farewell Hajj, and I was seven years old.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَزَعَةُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَعْنِى حَدِيثَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَرِيفٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلًا.

اس سند سے بھی جابر بن عبداللہ رضی الله عنہما نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسی طرح روایت کی ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ محمد بن منکدر سے بھی روایت کی گئی ہے انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مرسلاً روایت کی ہے، ۲- اہل علم کا اس پر اجماع ہے کہ بچہ جب بالغ ہونے سے پہلے حج کر لے تو ( اس کا فریضہ ساقط نہیں ہو گا ) جب وہ بالغ ہو جائے گا تو اس کے ذمہ حج ہو گا، کم سنی کا یہ حج اسلام کے عائد کردہ فریضہ حج کے لیے کافی نہیں ہو گا۔ اسی طرح غلام کا معاملہ ہے، اگر وہ غلامی میں حج کر چکا ہو پھر آزاد کر دیا جائے تو آزادی کی حالت میں اس پر حج فرض ہو گا جب وہ اس کی سبیل پا لے، غلامی کی حالت میں کیا ہوا حج کافی نہیں ہو گا۔ سفیان ثوری، شافعی، احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ کا بھی یہی قول ہے۔

Jabir narrated: When we performed our Hajj with the Prophet we would say the Talbiyah for the women and we would stone for the boys.

Al-Fadl bin Abbas narrated: A woman from Khath'am said: 'O Messenger of Allah! My father has lived until Allah has made Hajj obligatory, and he is an elderly man who is not able to sit on the back of a camel.' So he (pbuh) said: 'Perform Hajj for him.'

Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated from his father who said: A woman came to the Prophet and said: 'My mother died and she did not perform Hajj should I perform Hajj on her behalf?' He said: 'Yes, perform Hajj on her behalf.'

Abu Razin Al-Uqaili narrated: That he went to the Prophet and said: O Messenger of Allah! My father is an elderly man who is not able to perform Hajj nor Umrah nor undertake a journey.' He said: 'Perform Hajj on behalf of your father and perform Umrah.'
