Ibn Umar narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: May Allah have mercy upon those who shaved saying it one or two times, then he said: And those who shortened.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَلَقَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَصَّرَ بَعْضُهُمْ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَارِبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحُبْشِيِّ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَخْتَارُونَ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ رَأْسَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنْ قَصَّرَ يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ يُجْزِئُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالشَّافِعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَحْمَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِسْحَاقَ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سر منڈوایا، صحابہ کی ایک جماعت نے بھی سر مونڈوایا اور بعض لوگوں نے بال کتروائے۔ ابن عمر کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک بار یا دو بار فرمایا: ”اللہ سر مونڈانے والوں پر رحم فرمائے“، پھر فرمایا: ”کتروانے والوں پر بھی“ ۱؎۔

Ali narrated: The Messenger of Allah prohibited that a woman should shave her head.

Abdullah bin Amr narrated: A man asked the Messenger of Allah: 'I shaved before slaughtering.' So he said: 'Slaughter, and there is no harm.' Another man asked him: 'I performed the sacrifice before stoning.' He said: 'Stone, and there is no harm.'

Aishah narrated: I put perfume with musk in it on the Messenger of Allah before he assumed Ihram, and on the Day of An-Nahr before he performed Tawaf around the House.

Al-Fadl bin Abbas narrated: I was a companion rider with the Messenger of Allah from Jam to Mina. He did not cease saying the Talbiyah until stoning Jamrat Al-Aqabah.
