Ibn Abbas narrated: The Prophet was cupped somewhere between Makkah and Al-Madinah and he was fasting and in Ihram.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ فِيمَا بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ صَائِمٌ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وأَنَسٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ ذَهَبَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ إِلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَرَوْا بِالْحِجَامَةِ لِلصَّائِمِ بَأْسًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالشَّافِعِيِّ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایسے وقت میں پچھنا لگوایا جس میں آپ مکہ اور مدینہ کے درمیان تھے، آپ احرام باندھے ہوئے تھے اور روزے کی حالت میں تھے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابو سعید خدری، جابر اور انس رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- صحابہ کرام وغیرہم میں سے بعض اہل علم اسی حدیث کی طرف گئے ہیں، وہ صائم کے پچھنا لگوانے میں کوئی حرج نہیں سمجھتے۔ سفیان ثوری، مالک بن انس، اور شافعی کا بھی یہی قول ہے۔

Anas narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: Do not perform Wisal They said: But you perform Wisal O Messenger of Allah. He said: I am not like you are, indeed my Lord feeds me and gives me to drink.

Abu Bakr Bin Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Harith bin Hashim said: Aishah and Umm Salamah, the wives of the Prophet informed me that the Prophet would find that it was Fajr while he was Junub from (relations with) his wives, then he would perform Ghusl and fast.

Abu Hurairah narrated that: The Prophet said: When one of you is invited to eat then let him respond, if he is fasting then let him pray. Meaning: supplicate.
