Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that: the Messenger of Allah said: Three things do not break the fast of the fasting person: Cupping, vomiting, and the wet dream.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ ثَلَاثٌ لَا يُفْطِرْنَ:‏‏‏‏ الصَّائِمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏الْحِجَامَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْقَيْءُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالِاحْتِلَامُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ حَدِيثٌ غَيْرُ مَحْفُوظٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ مُرْسَلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْت أَبَا دَاوُدَ السِّجْزِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخُوهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدًا يَذْكُرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ثِقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ضَعِيفٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا أَرْوِي عَنْهُ شَيْئًا.

ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تین چیزوں سے روزہ دار کا روزہ نہیں ٹوٹتا: پچھنا لگوانے سے ۱؎، قے آ جانے سے اور احتلام ہو جانے سے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث محفوظ نہیں ہے، ۲- عبداللہ بن زید بن اسلم اور عبدالعزیز بن محمد اور دیگر کئی رواۃ نے یہ حدیث زید بن اسلم سے مرسلاً روایت کی ہے۔ اور اس میں ان لوگوں نے ابو سعید خدری کے واسطے کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے، ۳- عبدالرحمٰن بن زید بن اسلم حدیث میں ضعیف مانے جاتے ہیں، ۴- میں نے ابوداؤد سجزی کو کہتے سنا کہ میں نے احمد بن حنبل سے عبدالرحمٰن بن زید بن اسلم کے بارے میں پوچھا؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: ان کے بھائی عبداللہ بن زید بن اسلم میں کوئی حرج نہیں، ۴- اور میں نے محمد بن اسماعیل بخاری سے سنا کہ علی بن عبداللہ المدینی نے عبداللہ بن زید بن اسلم ثقہ ہیں اور عبدالرحمٰن بن زید بن اسلم ضعیف ہیں ۲؎ محمد بن اسماعیل بخاری کہتے ہیں: میں ان سے کچھ روایت نہیں کرتا۔

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Prophet said: Whoever is overcome by vomiting, then he is not required to make up (the fast), and whoever vomits on purpose, then he must make it up.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever eats or drinks forgetfully, then he has not broken (the fast), for it was only a provision that Allah provided for him.

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever breaks the fast during Ramadan without an allowance or illness, then if he fasted for all time, his fasting would not make up for it.

Abu Hurairah narrated that: A man came and said: O Messenger of Allah; I am ruined! He said: What has ruined you? He said: I had sexual relations with my wife during Ramadan. He said: Are you able to free a slave? He said, No. He said: Then are you able to fast for two consecutive months? He said, No. He said: Then are you able to feed sixty needy people? He said, No. He said: Sit. So he sat. A big basket full of dates was brought to the Prophet, and he said: Give it in charity. So he said: There is no one needier than us between its two mountains. So the Prophet laughing until his pre-molar teeth appeared, and he said: Then take it to feed your family.

Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi'ah narrated from his father who said: I saw the Prophet - (a number of times) such that I was not able to count - using the Siwak while he was fasting.
