Qais bin Asim narrated that: he accepted Islam and the Prophet ordered him to perform Ghusl with water and Sidr.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ الْأَغَرِّ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ أَنَّهُ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ لِلرَّجُلِ إِذَا أَسْلَمَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ وَيَغْسِلَ ثِيَابَهُ.

قیس بن عاصم رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے اسلام قبول کیا، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں پانی اور بیری سے غسل کرنے کا حکم دیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن ہے۔ ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- اور اسی پر اہل علم کا عمل ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ مستحب یہ ہے کہ آدمی جب اسلام قبول کرے تو غسل کرے اور اپنے کپڑے دھوئے، ۳- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے بھی روایت ہے۔

Ali bin Abi Talid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: The screen between the eyes of the jinns and nakedness of the children of Adam when one of you enters the area of relieving oneself is saying: 'Bismillah.'

Qatadah (one of the narrators) said: This is so, as long as they do not eat, when they eat, then both of them are washed.

[Shahr bin Hawshab said: I saw Jarir bin Abdullah performing Wudu and wiping over his Khuff. He said: So I asked him: 'What is that?' He said: 'I saw the Prophet performing Wudu and he wiped over his Khuff.' So I said to him: 'Before Al-Ma'idah or after Al-Ma'idah?' He said: 'I did not accept Islam until after Al-Ma'idah.' ]
