Qais bin Asim narrated that: he accepted Islam and the Prophet ordered him to perform Ghusl with water and Sidr.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ الْأَغَرِّ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ أَنَّهُ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ لِلرَّجُلِ إِذَا أَسْلَمَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ وَيَغْسِلَ ثِيَابَهُ.
قیس بن عاصم رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   انہوں نے اسلام قبول کیا، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں پانی اور بیری سے غسل کرنے کا حکم دیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن ہے۔ ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- اور اسی پر اہل علم کا عمل ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ مستحب یہ ہے کہ آدمی جب اسلام قبول کرے تو غسل کرے اور اپنے کپڑے دھوئے، ۳- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے بھی روایت ہے۔

He said: 'I saw the Prophet performing Wudu and he wiped over his Khuff.' So I said to him: 'Before Al-Ma'idah or after Al-Ma'idah?' He said: 'I did not accept Islam until after Al-Ma'idah.' ]
