Al-Bara bin Azib narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: It is a duty for the Muslims, that they perform Ghusl on Friday, and that each of them wear some of his family's perfume. If he does not find any, then water is a perfume for him.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ حَقٌّ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلْيَمَسَّ أَحَدُهُمْ مِنْ طِيبِ أَهْلِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَالْمَاءُ لَهُ طِيبٌ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَشَيْخٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ.

براء بن عازب رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مسلمانوں پر لازم ہے کہ وہ جمعہ کے دن غسل کریں اور ہر ایک اپنے گھر والوں کی خوشبو میں سے خوشبو لگائے، اگر اسے خوشبو میسر نہ ہو تو پانی ہی اس کے لیے خوشبو ہے“۔ اس باب میں ابوسعید رضی الله عنہ اور ایک انصاری شیخ سے بھی روایت ہے۔

Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah narrated: Umar bin Al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid Al-Laithi what Allah's Messenger would recite during Al-Fitr and Al-Adha, so he said: 'He would recite: Qaf, By the Glorious Quran and the Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder.'
