Ibn Umar narrated: I prayed two Rak'ah after Al-Maghrib with the Prophet (S) in his house.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ فِي بَيْتِهِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَكَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے مغرب کے بعد دونوں رکعتیں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ آپ کے گھر میں پڑھیں۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں رافع بن خدیج اور کعب بن عجرہ رضی الله عنہما سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Ibn Umar narrated: I memorized ten Rak'ah from Allah's Messenger (S) which he would pray in a night and a day: Two Rak'ah before Az-Zuhr, two after it; two Rak'ah after Al-Maghrib and two Rak'ah after the latter Isha. He said: And Hafsah narrated to me that he (S) would pray two Rak'ah before Al-Fajr.

Abu Hurairah narrated that: Allah's Messenger (S) said: Whoever prays six Rak'ah after Al-Maghrib, and he does not speak about anything between them, then they will be counted for him as twelve years of worship.

Abdullah bin Shaqiq said: I asked Aishah about the Salat of Allah's Messenger (S). She said: 'He would pray four Rak'ah before Az-Zuhr and two Rak'ah after it, and two after Al-Maghrib, and two Rak'ah after Al-Isha, and two before Al-Fajr.

Ibn Umar narrated that: The Prophet (S) said: Salat in the night is two by two. So when you fear the dawn (is near) then make it odd by one, and make that the last of your Salat odd.
