Narrated Anas: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gathered a group of people from the Ansar and said: Come, is there anyone among you who is from other than you? They said: No, except the son of a sister of ours. So he said: The son of the sister of a people is from them. Then he said: Indeed the Quraish is not far from their time of ignorance and affliction, and I wished that I subdue them and coax them. Are you not happy that the people return with this world and you return to your homes with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? They said: Of course we are. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If the people were to pass through a valley or a path, and the Ansar passed through a valley or a path then I would pass through the valley or path of the Ansar.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاسًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ ؟ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ لَا إِلَّا ابْنَ أُخْتٍ لَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ ابْنَ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا حَدِيثٌ عَهْدُهُمْ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَمُصِيبَةٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِنِّي أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَجْبُرَهُمْ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَتَأَلَّفَهُمْ أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ النَّاسُ بِالدُّنْيَا وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى بُيُوتِكُمْ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ بَلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا وَسَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَوْ شِعْبَهُمْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( فتح مکہ کے وقت ) انصار کے کچھ لوگوں کو اکٹھا کیا ۱؎ اور فرمایا: ”کیا تمہارے علاوہ تم میں کوئی اور ہے؟“ لوگوں نے عرض کیا: نہیں سوائے ہمارے بھانجے کے، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”قوم کا بھانجا تو قوم ہی میں داخل ہوتا ہے“، پھر آپ نے فرمایا: ”قریش اپنی جاہلیت اور ( کفر کی ) مصیبت سے نکل کر ابھی نئے نئے اسلام لائے ہیں۔ میں چاہتا ہوں کہ کچھ ان کی دلجوئی کروں اور انہیں مانوس کروں، ( اسی لیے مال غنیمت میں سے انہیں دیا ہے ) کیا تم یہ پسند نہیں کرتے کہ لوگ دنیا لے کر اپنے گھروں کو لوٹیں اور تم اللہ کے رسول کو لے کر اپنے گھر جاؤ“، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: کیوں نہیں، ہم اس پر راضی ہیں، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر لوگ ایک وادی یا گھاٹی میں چلیں اور انصار دوسری وادی یا گھاٹی میں چلیں تو میں انصار کی وادی و گھاٹی میں چلوں گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Zaid bin Arqam wrote to Anas bin Malik, comforting him over those of his family and children of his paternal uncle who suffered on the day of Al-Harrah. So he wrote to him: I give you glad tidings of good news from Allah. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'O Allah forgive the Ansar and the children of the Ansar, and the children of their children.

Narrated Abu Talhah: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'Convey my Salam to your people, because I know them to be modest and patient.'

Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Indeed my elite, those whom I lean towards, are the people of my house and my close ones are the Ansar, so forgive those who do wrong from them and accept from those who do good from them.
