Narrated 'Aishah: I have not seen anyone closer in conduct, way, and manners to that of the Messenger of Allah in regards to standing and sitting, than Fatimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). She said Whenever she would enter upon the Prophet (ﷺ) he would stand to her and kiss her, and he would sit her in his sitting place. Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) entered upon her she would stand from her seat, and kiss him and sit him in her sitting place. So when the Prophet (ﷺ) fell sick and Fatimah entered, she bent over and kissed him. Then she lifted her head and cried, then she bent over him and she lifted her head and laughed. So I said: 'I used to think that this one was from the most intelligent of our women, but she is really just one of the women.' So when the Prophet (ﷺ) died, I said to her: 'Do you remember when you bent over the Prophet (ﷺ) and you lifted your head and cried, then you bent over him, then you lifted your head and laughed. What caused you to do that?' She said: 'Then, I would be the one who spreads the secrets. He (ﷺ) told me that he was to die from his illness, so I cried. Then he told me that I would be the quickest of his family to meet up with him. So that is when I laughed.'

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَشْبَهَ سَمْتًا،‏‏‏‏ وَدَلًّا،‏‏‏‏ وَهَدْيًا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي قِيَامِهَا،‏‏‏‏ وَقُعُودِهَا مِنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ وَكَانَتْ إِذَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ إِلَيْهَا فَقَبَّلَهَا،‏‏‏‏ وَأَجْلَسَهَا فِي مَجْلِسِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا قَامَتْ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهَا فَقَبَّلَتْهُ وَأَجْلَسَتْهُ فِي مَجْلِسِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا مَرِضَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ فَأَكَبَّتْ عَلَيْهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَبَّلَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ رَفَعَتْ رَأْسَهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَبَكَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أَكَبَّتْ عَلَيْهِ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ رَفَعَتْ رَأْسَهَا فَضَحِكَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَظُنُّ أَنَّ هَذِهِ مِنْ أَعْقَلِ نِسَائِنَا فَإِذَا هِيَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْتُ لَهَا:‏‏‏‏ أَرَأَيْتِ حِينَ أَكْبَبْتِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَفَعْتِ رَأْسَكِ،‏‏‏‏ فَبَكَيْتِ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَكْبَبْتِ عَلَيْهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَرَفَعْتِ رَأْسَكِ،‏‏‏‏ فَضَحِكْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَا حَمَلَكِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي إِذًا لَبَذِرَةٌ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَيِّتٌ مِنْ وَجَعِهِ هَذَا،‏‏‏‏ فَبَكَيْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَسْرَعُ أَهْلِهِ لُحُوقًا بِهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَذَاكَ حِينَ ضَحِكْتُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے اٹھنے بیٹھنے کے طور و طریق اور عادت و خصلت میں فاطمہ ۱؎ رضی الله عنہ سے زیادہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے مشابہ کسی کو نہیں دیکھا، وہ کہتی ہیں: جب وہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آتیں تو آپ اٹھ کر انہیں بوسہ لیتے اور انہیں اپنی جگہ پر بٹھاتے، اور جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے پاس آتے تو وہ اٹھ کر آپ کو بوسہ لیتیں اور آپ کو اپنی جگہ پر بٹھاتیں چنانچہ جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیمار ہوئے تو فاطمہ آئیں اور آپ پر جھکیں اور آپ کو بوسہ لیا، پھر اپنا سر اٹھایا اور رونے لگیں پھر آپ پر جھکیں اور اپنا سر اٹھایا تو ہنسنے لگیں، پہلے تو میں یہ خیال کرتی تھی کہ یہ ہم عورتوں میں سب سے زیادہ عقل والی ہیں مگر ان کے ہنسنے پر یہ سمجھی کہ یہ بھی آخر ( عام ) عورت ہی ہیں، یعنی یہ کون سا موقع ہنسنے کا ہے، پھر جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات ہو گئی تو میں نے ان سے پوچھا کہ یہ کیا بات تھی کہ میں نے تمہیں دیکھا کہ تم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر جھکیں پھر سر اٹھایا تو رونے لگیں، پھر جھکیں اور سر اٹھایا تو ہنسنے لگیں، تو انہوں نے کہا: اگر آپ کی زندگی میں یہ بات بتا دیتی تو میں ایک ایسی عورت ہوتی جو آپ کے راز کو افشاء کرنے والی ہوتی، بات یہ تھی کہ پہلے آپ نے مجھے اس بات کی خبر دی کہ اس بیماری میں میں انتقال کر جانے والا ہوں، یہ سن کر میں رو پڑی، پھر آپ نے مجھے بتایا کہ ان کے گھر والوں میں سب سے پہلے میں ان سے ملوں گی، تو یہ سن کر میں ہنسنے لگی۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے، اور یہ عائشہ سے متعدد سندوں سے آئی ہے۔

Narrated Umm Salamah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called Fatimah on the Day of the Conquest (of Makkah) and he spoke to her, so she cried. Then he spoke to her and she laughed. She said: So when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died, I asked her about her crying and laughing. She said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) told me that he will die, so I cried, then he told me that I was the master over all the women of the inhabitants of Paradise, except for Mariam the daughter of 'Imran, so I laughed.

Narrated Jumai' bin 'Umair At-Taimi: I entered along with my uncle upon 'Aishah and she was asked: 'Who among people was the most beloved to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?' She said: 'Fatimah.' So it was said: 'From the men?' She said: 'Her husband, as I knew him to fast much and stand in prayer much.'

Narrated 'Aishah: I was not jealous of any wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) as I was jealous of Khadijah, and it was not because I did not see her. It was only because the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mentioned her so much, and because whenever he would slaughter a sheep, he would look for Khadijah's friends to give them some of it.

Narrated 'Aishah: I did not envy any woman as I envied Khadijah - and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not marry me except after she had died - that was because the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave her glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of Qasab, without clamoring nor discomforts in it.

Narrated 'Ali bin Abi Talib: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The best of its women is Khadijah bint Khuwailid, and the best of its women is Mariam bint 'Imran.

Narrated Anas [may Allah be pleased with him]: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Sufficient for you among the women of mankind are Mariam bint 'Imran, Khadijah bint Khuwailid, Fatimah bint Muhammad and Asiyah the wife of Fir'awn.
