Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: There is no favor due upon us from anyone, except that we have repaid him, with the exception of Abu Bakr. Verily upon us, there is a favor due to him, which Allah will repay him on the Day of Judgement. No one's wealth has benefited as Abu Bakr's wealth has benefited me. And if I were to take a Khalil, then I would have taken Abu Bakr as a Khalil, and indeed your companion is Allah's Khalil.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ مُحْرِزٍ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَوْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا لِأَحَدٍ عِنْدَنَا يَدٌ إِلَّا وَقَدْ كَافَيْنَاهُ مَا خَلَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَنَا يَدًا يُكَافِيهِ اللَّهُ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ،‏‏‏‏ وَمَا نَفَعَنِي مَالُ أَحَدٍ قَطُّ مَا نَفَعَنِي مَالُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا لَاتَّخَذْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ خَلِيلًا أَلَا وَإِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ خَلِيلُ اللَّهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کسی کا ہمارے اوپر کوئی ایسا احسان نہیں جسے میں نے چکا نہ دیا ہو سوائے ابوبکر کے، کیونکہ ان کا ہمارے اوپر اتنا بڑا احسان ہے کہ جس کا پورا پورا بدلہ قیامت کے دن انہیں اللہ ہی دے گا، کسی کے مال سے کبھی بھی مجھے اتنا فائدہ نہیں پہنچا جتنا مجھے ابوبکر کے مال نے پہنچایا ہے، اگر میں کسی کو خلیل ( گہرا دوست ) بنانے والا ہوتا تو ابوبکر کو خلیل بناتا، سن لو تمہارا یہ ساتھی ( یعنی خود ) اللہ کا خلیل ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے۔

Narrated Hudhaifah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Stick to the two after me, Abu Bakr and 'Umar.

Narrated Hudhaifah [may Allah be pleased with him]: We were sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: 'I do not know how long I will be with you, so stick to the two after me,' and he signaled towards Abu Bakr and 'Umar.

Narrated Anas: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said about Abu Bakr and 'Umar: These two are the masters of the elder people among the inhabitants of Paradise. From the first ones and the last ones, not including the Prophets and the Messengers. But do not inform them O 'Ali.

Narrated 'Ali bin Abi Talib: I was with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and Abu Bakr and 'Umar came up (in discussion), so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'These two are the masters of the elder people among the inhabitants of Paradise. From the first ones and the last ones, not including the Prophets and the Messengers. But do not inform them O 'Ali.'
