Translation

Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: ‘Be frequent in saying: “There is no might or power except by Allah, (Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh).” For verily, it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْغَازِ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَكْثِرْ مِنْ قَوْلِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّهَا كَنْزٌ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ مَكْحُولٌ:‏‏‏‏ فَمَنْ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ وَلَا مَنْجَأَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا إِلَيْهِ كَشَفَ عَنْهُ سَبْعِينَ بَابًا مِنَ الضُّرِّ أَدْنَاهُنَّ الْفَقْرُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِمُتَّصِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَكْحُولٌ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ” «لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله» کثرت سے پڑھا کرو، کیونکہ یہ جنت کے خزانوں میں سے ایک خزانہ ہے“۔ مکحول کہتے ہیں: جس نے کہا: «لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله ولا منجا من الله إلا إليه» تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس سے ستر طرح کے ضرر و نقصان کو دور کر دیتا ہے، جن میں کمتر درجے کا ضرر فقر ( و محتاجی ) ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: اس کی سند متصل نہیں ہے، مکحول نے ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے نہیں سنا ہے۔

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Every Prophet has a (special) supplication which is answered. Verily, I have reserved mine as intercession for my nation, and it shall reach, if Allah wills, those of them who die, not associating anything with Allah.”

Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Allah, the Most High said: ‘I am as My slave thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me to himself, I remember him to Myself, and if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than that. And if he seeks to draw nearer to Me by a hand span, I draw nearer to him by a forearm’s length, and if he comes to Me by a forearm’s length, I draw nearer to him by an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I come to him quickly.’”

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of Hell, and seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave. Seek refuge in Allah from the trial of Al-Masihid-Dajjal, and seek refuge in Allah from the trials of life and death.”

Narrated Wathilah bin Al-Asqa': that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Indeed Allah has chosen Isma'il from the children of Ibrahim, and He chose Banu Kinanah from the children of Isma'il, and He chose the Quraish from Banu Kinanah, and He chose Banu Hashim from Quraish, and He chose me from Banu Hashim.

Narrated Wathilah bin Al-Asqa': that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Indeed, Allah chose Kinanah from the children of Isma'il, and He chose Quraish from Kinanah, and He chose Hashim from Quraish, and He chose me from Banu Hashim.

Narrated Al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Indeed the Quraish have sat and spoken between themselves about the best of them, and they made your likeness as that of a palm tree in a wasteland.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Indeed, Allah created the creation and made me [from the best of them,] from the best of their categories, and the best of the two categories (Arabs and Non-Arabs), then He chose between the tribes and made me from the best tribe, then He chose between the houses and made me from the best house. So I am the best of them in person and the best of them in house.'
