Ibn 'Abbas narrated:
The Prophet wiped his head and his ears: the outside and the inside of them. ($ahih)
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَأُذُنَيْهِ ظَاهِرِهِمَا وَبَاطِنِهِمَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ الرُّبَيِّعِ. قال أبو عيسى: وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَرَوْنَ مَسْحَ الْأُذُنَيْنِ ظُهُورِهِمَا وَبُطُونِهِمَا.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے اپنے سر کا اور اپنے دونوں کانوں کے بالائی اور اندرونی حصوں کا مسح کیا۔
امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ربیع رضی الله عنہا سے بھی روایت ہے، ۳- اکثر اہل علم کا اسی پر عمل ہے، ان لوگوں کی رائے ہے کہ دونوں کانوں کے بالائی اور اندرونی دونوں حصوں کا مسح کیا جائے۔
