(Another chain narrating that) Abu Hurairah narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: What is between the east and the west is Qiblah.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَخْنَسِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ قِبْلَةٌ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّمَا قِيلَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لِأَنَّهُ مِنْ وَلَدِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ قِبْلَةٌ مِنْهُمْ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا جَعَلْتَ الْمَغْرِبَ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ وَالْمَشْرِقَ عَنْ يَسَارِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا قِبْلَةٌ إِذَا اسْتَقْبَلْتَ الْقِبْلَةَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ:‏‏‏‏ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ قِبْلَةٌ هَذَا لِأَهْلِ الْمَشْرِقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاخْتَارَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ التَّيَاسُرَ لِأَهْلِ مَرْوٍ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مشرق ( پورب ) اور مغرب ( پچھم ) کے درمیان جو ہے وہ سب قبلہ ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- کئی صحابہ سے مروی ہے کہ مشرق و مغرب کے درمیان جو ہے سب قبلہ ہے۔ ان میں عمر بن خطاب، علی بن ابی طالب، اور ابن عباس رضی الله عنہم بھی شامل ہیں، ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں: جب آپ مغرب کو دائیں طرف اور مشرق کو بائیں طرف رکھ کر قبلہ رخ کھڑے ہوں گے تو ان دونوں سمتوں کے درمیان جو ہو گا وہ قبلہ ہو گا، ابن مبارک کہتے ہیں: مشرق و مغرب کے درمیان جو ہے سب قبلہ ہے، یہ اہل مشرق ۱؎ کے لیے ہے۔ اور عبداللہ بن مبارک نے اہل مرو ۲؎ کے لیے بائیں طرف جھکنے کو پسند کیا ہے۔

Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi'ah narrated from his father who said: We were with the Prophet on a journey on a very dark night and we did not know the direction of the Qiblah. So each man among us prayed in his own direction. In the morning when we mentioned that to the Prophet, then the following was revealed: So where ever you turn, there is the Face of Allah.

Ibn Umar narrated: The Prophet prohibited Salat from being performed in seven places: the dung heap, the slaughtering area, the graveyard, the commonly used road, the wash area, in the area that camels rest at, and above the House of Allah (the Ka'bah).
