Muhammad bin Al Munkadir narrated that: Jabir [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “The Messenger of Allah came out to his Companions, and recited Surat Ar-Rahman from its beginning to its end for them, and they were silent. So he said: ‘I recited it to the Jinns on the ‘Night of the Jinns,’ and they had a better response to it than you did. Each time I came to Allah’s saying: ‘Which of your Lords favor do you deny.’ They said: “We do not deny any of Your favors our Lord! And Yours is praise.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَرَأَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةَ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ أَوَّلِهَا إِلَى آخِرِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَكَتُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ قَرَأْتُهَا عَلَى الْجِنِّ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ فَكَانُوا أَحْسَنَ مَرْدُودًا مِنْكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كُنْتُ كُلَّمَا أَتَيْتُ عَلَى قَوْلِهِ:‏‏‏‏ فَبِأَيِّ آلاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ سورة الرحمن آية 13 قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ لَا بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ نِعَمِكَ رَبَّنَا نُكَذِّبُ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَحْمَدُ ابْنُ حَنْبَلٍ:‏‏‏‏ كَأَنَّ زُهَيْرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الَّذِي وَقَعَ بِالشَّامِ لَيْسَ هُوَ الَّذِي يُرْوَى عَنْهُ بِالْعِرَاقِ كَأَنَّهُ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ قَلَبُوا اسْمَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَعْنِي لِمَا يَرْوُونَ عَنْهُ مِنَ الْمَنَاكِيرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيل الْبُخَارِيَّ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ يَرْوُونَ عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ مَنَاكِيرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَهْلُ الْعِرَاقِ يَرْوُونَ عَنْهُ أَحَادِيثَ مُقَارِبَةً.

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے صحابہ کے پاس آئے اور ان کے سامنے سورۃ الرحمن شروع سے آخر تک پڑھی، لوگ ( سن کر ) چپ رہے، آپ نے کہا: میں نے یہ سورۃ اپنی جنوں سے ملاقات والی رات میں جنوں کو پڑھ کر سنائی تو انہوں نے مجھے تمہارے بالمقابل اچھا جواب دیا، جب بھی میں پڑھتا ہوا آیت «فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان» پر پہنچتا تو وہ کہتے «لا بشيء من نعمك ربنا نكذب فلك الحمد» ”اے ہمارے رب! ہم تیری نعمتوں میں سے کسی نعمت کا بھی انکار نہیں کرتے، تیرے ہی لیے ہیں ساری تعریفیں“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ہم اسے ولید بن مسلم کی روایت کے سوا جسے وہ زہیر بن محمد سے روایت کرتے ہیں، اور کسی سے نہیں جانتے، ۲- احمد بن حنبل کہتے ہیں: زہیر بن محمد جو شام میں ہیں، وہ زہیر نہیں جن سے اہل عراق روایت کرتے ہیں تو ان وہ دوسرے آدمی ہیں، لوگوں نے ان کا نام اس وجہ سے تبدیل کر دیا ہے ( تاکہ لوگ ان کا نام نہ جان سکیں ) کیونکہ لوگ ان سے منکر احادیث بیان کرتے تھے، ۳- میں نے محمد بن اسماعیل بخاری کو کہتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اہل شام زہیر بن محمد سے مناکیر ( منکر احادیث ) روایت کرتے ہیں، اور اہل عراق ان سے صحیح احادیث روایت کرتے ہیں۔

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “Allah said: ‘I have prepared for My righteous worshippers, what no eye has seen, nor ear has hear, and no human heart has conceived.’ So recite if you wish: No person knows what is kept hidden for them of delights of the eyes as a reward for what they used to do. And in Paradise there is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for one hundred years without stopping. Recite if you wish: And in shade extended. And the space occupied by a whip in Paradise is better than the world and whatever is in it. Recite if you wish: And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception.”

Anas narrated that the Prophet said: “Indeed in Paradise there is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for one hundred years without stopping. Recite if you wish: And in shave extended. And water flowing constantly.”

Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri may Allah be pleased with him, narrated : from the Prophet – regarding Allah’s saying ‘And on couches raised high – he said: “Their height is as what is between the heavens and the earth, and the distance between the two of them is five hundred years.”

Abu Abdur-Rahman narrated from Ali that : the Messenger of Allah said: And you make your provision your demise! – he said: “Your gratitude is expressed by saying: ‘We received rain because of this and that celestial position, and because of this and that star.’”

Anas [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “The Messenger of Allah recited: Verily, We have created them a special creation. He said: “Among that special creation is the women who were decrepit, bleary eyed and elderly in the world.”

Abu Ishaq narrated from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas who said: “Abu Bakr [may Allah be pleased with him] said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! You have become gray.’ He said: ‘I have gone gray from (Surat) Hud, Al-Waqi`ah, Al-Mursalat and `Amma Yatasa'alun and Idhash-Shamsu Kuwwirat.’”
