Translation

Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri: from the Prophet (ﷺ), that he said about this Ayah: 'Then We gave the Book the as inheritance to such of Our worshipers whom We chose. Then of them are some who wrong themselves, and of them are some who follow a middle course, and of them are some who are, by Allah's Leave, foremost in good deeds (35:32). He said: All of these people are of the same rank, and all of them are in Paradise.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَيْزَارِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ كِنَانَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَوْرَثْنَا الْكِتَابَ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مُقْتَصِدٌ وَمِنْهُمْ سَابِقٌ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ سورة فاطر آية 32 قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَؤُلَاءِ كُلُّهُمْ بِمَنْزِلَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَكُلُّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس آیت «ثم أورثنا الكتاب الذين اصطفينا من عبادنا فمنهم ظالم لنفسه ومنهم مقتصد ومنهم سابق بالخيرات» ”پھر ہم نے اللہ کے حکم سے کتاب کا وارث ان لوگوں کو بنا دیا جن کو ہم نے اپنے بندوں میں سے منتخب کیا تھا، تو ان میں سے بعض تو خود اپنے آپ پر ظلم کرنے والے ہیں، اور بعض میانہ روی اختیار کرنے والے ہیں اور ان میں سے بعض نیکی و بھلائی کے کاموں میں سبقت لے جانے والے لوگ ہیں“ ( فاطر: ۳۲ ) ، کے سلسلے میں فرمایا: ”یہ سب ایک ہی درجے میں ہوں گے اور یہ سب کے سب جنت میں جانے والے لوگ ہیں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں۔

Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri: Banu Salamah's dwellings were on the outskirts of Al-Madinah, so they wanted to relocate closer to the Masjid. Then this Ayah was revealed: 'Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces... (36:12)' So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Your steps are recorded, so do not relocate.'

Narrated Abu Dharr: I entered the Masjid when the sun had set, and the Prophet (ﷺ) was sitting. He said: 'O Abu Dharr! Do you know where this goes?' I said: 'Allah and His Messenger know better.' He said: 'Indeed it goes to seek permission to prostrate, so it is permitted. And it is as if it has been said to it: Rise from its setting place.' Then he recited: 'That is its fixed course.' He said: That is the recitation of 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: No caller invites to anything except that he is detained along with, on the Day of Resurrection, without parting from it, even if a man invites another man. Then he recited the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime: 'But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (37:24 & 25).'

Narrated Ubayy bin Ka'b: I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the saying of Allah, Most High: 'And We sent him to a hundred thousand, or even more (37:147). He said: 'Twenty thousand (more).'
