Translation

Hassan bin Bilal said: 1 saw Ammar bin Yasir performing Wudu, so he went through his beard (with his hand). It was said to him - or he said - 1 said: 'You go through your beard?' He said: 'And what is there to prevent me? Indeed I saw Allah's Messenger going through his beard.'

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُخَارِقِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَيْتُ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ تَوَضَّأَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَخَلَّلَ لِحْيَتَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقِيلَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ أَوْ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ أَتُخَلِّلُ لِحْيَتَكَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَمَا يَمْنَعُنِي وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخَلِّلُ لِحْيَتَهُ .

حسان بن بلال کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عمار بن یاسر رضی الله عنہما کو دیکھا کہ انہوں نے وضو کیا تو اپنی داڑھی میں خلال کیا ۱؎ ان سے کہا گیا یا راوی حدیث حسان نے کہا کہ میں نے ان سے کہا: کیا آپ اپنی داڑھی کا خلال کر رہے ہیں؟ تو انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ میں داڑھی کا خلال کیوں نہ کروں جب کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی الله علیہ وسلم کو داڑھی کا خلال کرتے دیکھا ہے۔

Abdullah bin Zaid narrated that: Allah's Messenger wiped over his head with his hands, going over the front with them and the rear. He began with the front of his head until they went to the nape of his neck. Then he brought them back again to the place where he began. Then he washed his feet.

Ar-Rubay' bint Mu'awwidh bin Afra' narrated: The Prophet wiped his head two times: He began with the rear of his head, then with the front of his head and with both of his ears, outside and Inside of them.

Ar-Rubayy bint Mu'awidh bin Afra narrated that : she saw the Prophet performing Wudu. She said: He wiped his head, and what is in the front of it and what is in its rear, and his temples and his ears one time.
