Narrated Salih bin Abi Hassan: I heard Sa'eed bin Musayyab saying: 'Indeed Allah is Tayyib (good) and he loves Tayyib (what is good), and He is Nazif (clean) and He loves cleanliness, He is Karim (kind) and He loves kindness, He is Jawad (generous) and He loves generosity. So clean' - I think he said - 'your courtyards, and do not resemble the Jews.' He said: I mentioned that to Muhajir bin Mismar, and he said: Amir bin Sa'd [bin Abi Waqqas] narrated it to me from his father from the Prophet (ﷺ), similarly, except that he did not say: Clean your courtyards.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ إِلْيَاسَ، وَيُقَالْ ابْنُ إِيَاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي حَسَّانَ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ، يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ طَيِّبٌ يُحِبُّ الطَّيِّبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏نَظِيفٌ يُحِبُّ النَّظَافَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَرِيمٌ يُحِبُّ الْكَرَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏جَوَادٌ يُحِبُّ الْجُودَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَنَظِّفُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أُرَاهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَفْنِيَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَشَبَّهُوا بِالْيَهُودِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ مِسْمَارٍ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِيهِ عَامِرُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَظِّفُوا أَفْنِيَتَكُمْ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَخَالِدُ بْنُ إِلْيَاسَ يُضَعَّفُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُقَالُ ابْنُ إِيَاسٍ.

صالح بن ابی حسان کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سعید بن مسیب کو کہتے ہوئے سنا: اللہ طیب ( پاک ) ہے اور پاکی ( صفائی و ستھرائی ) کو پسند کرتا ہے۔ اللہ مہربان ہے اور مہربانی کو پسند کرتا ہے۔ اور اللہ سخی و فیاض ہے اور جود و سخا کو پسند کرتا ہے، تو پاک و صاف رکھو۔ ( میرا خیال ہے کہ انہوں نے اس سے آگے کہا ) اپنے گھروں کے صحنوں اور گھروں کے سامنے کے میدانوں کو، اور یہود سے مشابہت نہ اختیار کرو“۔ ( صالح کہتے ہیں ) میں نے اس ( روایت ) کا مہاجر بن مسمار سے ذکر کیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھ سے اس کو عامر بن سعد نے اپنے باپ سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی الله عنہ کے واسطہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا۔ البتہ مہاجر نے «نظفوا أفنيتكم» کہا ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ۲- خالد بن الیاس ضعیف سمجھے جاتے ہیں اور انہیں خالد بن ایاس بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔

Narrated Abu Muhayyah: from Laith, from Nafi, from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Beware of nakedness! For indeed there are with you, those who do not part from you except at the place of defecation, and when a man goes into his wife. So be shy of them and honor them.

Narrated Jabir: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, then he is not to let his wife enter the Hammam, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, then he is not to enter the Hammam without an Izar. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, then he is not to sit at a spread in which Khamr is circulated.

Narrated Abu 'Udhrah [and he lived during the time of the Prophet (ﷺ)]: from 'Aishah, that the Prophet (ﷺ) prohibitied the men and women from the Hammamat (plural of Hammam), then he permitted it for the men in Izar.

Narrated Abu Al-Malih Al-Hudhali: that some women from the inhabitants of Hims, or from the inhabitants of Ash-Sham entered upon 'Aishah, so she said: Are you those whose women enter the Hammamat? I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'No woman removes her garments in other than the house of her husband except that she has torn the screen between herself and her Lord.'

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: I heard Abu Talhah saying: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an object of images.

Narrated Ishaq bin 'Abdullah bin Abi Talhah: that Rafi' bin Ishaq informed him, saying: I and 'Abdullah bin Abi Talhah entered upon Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri to visit him. So Abu Sa'eed said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) informed us: The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image or a picture.
