Narrated Jabir: that the Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited them from returning to the women from a journey during the night.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَطْرُقُوا النِّسَاءَ لَيْلًا ،‏‏‏‏ وفي الباب عن أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَطْرُقُوا النِّسَاءَ لَيْلًا ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَطَرَقَ رَجُلَانِ بَعْدَ نَهْيِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَوَجَدَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ رَجُلًا.
جابر رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو سفر سے رات میں بیویوں کے پاس لوٹ کر آنے سے روکا ہے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث کئی سندوں سے جابر رضی الله عنہ کے واسطہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے آئی ہے، ۳- اس باب میں انس، ابن عمر، اور ابن عباس رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۴- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے بھی مروی ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو رات میں بیویوں کے پاس سفر سے واپس لوٹ کر آنے سے روکا ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں: نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اس روکنے کے باوجود دو شخص رات میں لوٹ کر اپنی بیویوں کے پاس آئے ( نتیجہ انہیں اس نافرمانی کا یہ ملا ) کہ ان دونوں میں سے ہر ایک نے اپنی بیوی کے پاس ایک دوسرے مرد کو پایا۔

He said: Half a month did not pass before I learned it, when he (ﷺ) wanted to write to the Jews I would write it to them, and when they wrote to him I would read their letters to him.
