Al-Hasan bin 'Ali said: I remember that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Leave what makes you in doubt for what does not make you in doubt. The truth brings tranquility while falsehood sows doubt.'
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ السَّعْدِيِّ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، مَا حَفِظْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَفِظْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ دَعْ مَا يَرِيبُكَ إِلَى مَا لَا يَرِيبُكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ الصِّدْقَ طُمَأْنِينَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ رِيبَةٌ وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ قِصَّةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو الْحَوْرَاءِ السَّعْدِيُّ اسْمُهُ:‏‏‏‏ رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
ابوالحوراء شیبان سعدی کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے حسن بن علی رضی الله عنہما سے پوچھا: آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کیا چیز یاد کی ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا یہ فرمان یاد کیا ہے کہ ”اس چیز کو چھوڑ دو جو تمہیں شک میں ڈالے اور اسے اختیار کرو جو تمہیں شک میں نہ ڈالے، سچائی دل کو مطمئن کرتی ہے، اور جھوٹ دل کو بے قرار کرتا اور شک میں مبتلا کرتا ہے“ ۱؎، اور اس حدیث میں ایک قصہ بھی ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ابوالحوراء سعدی کا نام ربیعہ بن شیبان ہے۔

Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir narrated from Jabir, that a man was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet (s.a.w) for his worship and striving in it, and another man was mentioned for his cautious piety. So the Prophet (s.a.w) said: Nothing is equal to cautious piety.

The second will appear like the color of the most beautiful star in the sky. Each man among them shall have two wives, each wife wearing seventy bracelets, with the marrow of their shins being visible from behind them.
