Abu Hurairah narrated: Neither the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) nor his family, ate their fill of wheat bread for three consecutive days until he parted the world.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ العَلاءِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا شَبِعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَهْلُهُ ثَلَاثًا تِبَاعًا مِنْ خُبْزِ الْبُرِّ حَتَّى فَارَقَ الدُّنْيَا ،‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور آپ کے اہل خانہ نے مسلسل تین دن تک گیہوں کی روٹی سیر ہو کر نہیں کھائی یہاں تک کہ آپ رحلت فرما گئے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔
