Clarification of this is in the Hadith of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, from the Prophet(s.a.w) who said: The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them,then those who follow them. Then lying will spread, until a man testifies while his testimony was not requested, and a man will take an oath while an oath was not sought.

وَبَيَانُ هَذَا فِي حَدِيثِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يَفْشُو الْكَذِبُ حَتَّى يَشْهَدَ الرَّجُلُ وَلَا يُسْتَشْهَدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَحْلِفُ الرَّجُلُ وَلَا يُسْتَحْلَفُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ خَيْرُ الشُّهَدَاءِ الَّذِي يَأْتِي بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا هُوَ عِنْدَنَا إِذَا أُشْهِدَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى الشَّيْءِ أَنْ يُؤَدِّيَ شَهَادَتَهُ وَلَا يَمْتَنِعَ مِنَ الشَّهَادَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏هَكَذَا وَجْهُ الْحَدِيثِ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ.

عمر بن خطاب رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”سب سے اچھے اور بہتر لوگ ہمارے زمانے والے ہیں، پھر وہ لوگ جو ان کے بعد ہوں گے، پھر وہ لوگ جو ان کے بعد ہوں گے، پھر جھوٹ عام ہو جائے گا یہاں تک کہ آدمی گواہی طلب کیے بغیر گواہی دے گا، اور قسم کھلائے بغیر قسم کھائے گا“۔ اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وہ حدیث کہ سب سے بہتر گواہ وہ ہے، جو گواہی طلب کیے بغیر گواہی دے تو اس کا مفہوم ہمارے نزدیک یہ ہے کہ جب کسی سے کسی چیز کی گواہی ( حق بات کی خاطر ) دلوائی جائے تو وہ گواہی دے، گواہی دینے سے باز نہ رہے، بعض اہل علم کے نزدیک دونوں حدیثوں میں تطبیق کی یہی صورت ہے۔

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Two favors that many of the people squander are health and free time.

Al-Hasan narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Who will take these statements from me, so that he may act upon them, or teach one who will act upon them? So Abu Hurairah said: I said: 'I shall O Messenger of Allah!' So he (s.a.w) took my hand and enumerated five (things), he said: Be on guard against the unlawful and you shall be the most worshiping among the people, be satisfied with what Allah has alloted for you and you shall be the richest of the people, be kind to your neighbor and you shall be a believer, love for the people what you love for yourself and you shall be a Muslim. And do not laugh too much, for indeed increased laughter kills the heart.

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Race to do works against seven. Are you waiting but for overwhelming poverty, or distracting richness, or debilitating illness, or babbling senility, or sudden death, or the Dajjal, so that hidden evil is what is awaited, or the Hour? The Hour is more calamitous and more bitter. (Daif)

Hani' the freed slave of 'Uthman said: When 'Uthman would stop at a grave he would cry until his beard was soaked (in tears). It was said to him: 'The Paradise and the Fire were mentioned and you did not cry, yet you cry because of this?' So he said: 'Indeed the Messenger of Allah said: Indeed the grave is the first stage among the stages of the Hereafter. So if one is saved from it, then what comes after it is easier than it. And if one is not saved from it, then what comes after it is worse than it. And the Messenger of Allah said: I have not seen any sight except that the grave is more horrible than it.

Ubadah bin As-Samit narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him. Whoever is averse to meeting Allah, Allah is averse to meeting him.
