Translation

Al-Mustawrid bin Shaddad Al-Fihri reported that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: I was sent in advance of the Hour, so that I precede it like this precedes this. (Indicating) with his index and middle fingers.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ هَيَّاجٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَرْحَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ الْفِهْرِيِّ، رَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بُعِثْتُ فِي نَفَسِ السَّاعَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَبَقْتُهَا كَمَا سَبَقَتْ هَذِهِ هَذِهِ لِأُصْبُعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

مستورد بن شداد فہری رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میں قیامت کے زمانہ ہی میں بھیجا گیا پھر میں اس پر سبقت لے گیا جیسے یہ انگلی اس انگلی پر سبقت لے گئی، اور آپ نے اپنی شہادت اور بیچ کی انگلی کی طرف اشارہ کیا“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث مستورد بن شداد کی روایت سے غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں۔

Anas narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: The Hour and I were dispatched like these two - and Abu Dawud(a narrator) indicated with his index and middle fingers- so, how much more(in length) is one then the other.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet(s.a.w) said: The Hour shall not be established until you fight a people whose sandals are made out of hair, and the Hour shall not be established until you fight a people whose faces will look like shields coated with leather.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: When Kisra is ruined, there will be no Kisra after him, and when Caesar is ruined, there will be no Caesar after him. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! You shall spend their treasures in Allah's cause.

Salim bin 'Abdullas [bin 'Umar] narrated from his father, that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: A fire is coming from Hadramawt- before the Day of Judgement- to gather the people. They said: O Messenger of Allah! What do you order us? He said: Stick to Ash-Sham.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: The Hour shall not be established until nearly thirty imposters, Dajjal appear, each of them claiming that he is the Messenger of Allah.

Thawban narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: The Hour shall not be established until tribes of my Ummah unite with the idolaters, and until they worship idols. And indeed there shall be thirty imposters in my Ummah,each of them claiming that he is a Prophet. And I am the last of the Prophets, there is no Prophet after me.
