Translation

Abdullah bin Amr narrated that: the Prophet said: Merely maintaining the ties of kinship is not adequate. But connecting the ties of kinship is when his ties to the womb are severed and he connects it.

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا بَشِيرٌ أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيل، وَفِطْرُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِئِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنَّ الْوَاصِلَ الَّذِي إِذَا انْقَطَعَتْ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ.

ابوسلمہ کہتے ہیں کہ ابوالرداد لیثی بیمار ہو گئے، عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف رضی الله عنہ ان کی عیادت کو گئے، ابوالرداء نے کہا: میرے علم کے مطابق ابو محمد ( عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف ) لوگوں میں سب سے اچھے اور صلہ رحمی کرنے والے ہیں، عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: ”اللہ تبارک وتعالیٰ نے فرمایا: میں اللہ ہوں، میں رحمن ہوں، میں نے «رحم» ( یعنی رشتے ناتے ) کو پیدا کیا ہے، اور اس کا نام اپنے نام سے ( مشتق کر کے ) رکھا ہے، اس لیے جو اسے جوڑے گا میں اسے ( اپنی رحمت سے ) جوڑے رکھوں گا اور جو اسے کاٹے گا میں بھی اسے ( اپنی رحمت سے ) کاٹ دوں گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- اس باب میں ابو سعید خدری، ابن ابی اوفی، عامر بن ربیعہ، ابوہریرہ اور جبیر بن مطعم رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔ ۲- زہری سے مروی سفیان کی حدیث صحیح ہے، معمر نے زہری سے یہ حدیث «عن أبي سلمة عن رداد الليثي عن عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف و معمر» کی سند سے روایت کی ہے، معمر نے ( سند بیان کرتے ہوئے ) ایسا ہی کہا ہے، محمد ( بخاری ) کہتے ہیں: معمر کی حدیث میں خطا ہے، ( دونوں سندوں میں فرق واضح ہے ) ۔

Abu Hurairah narrated: Al-Aqra' bin Habis saw the prophet kissing Al-Hasan - Ibn Abi 'Umar (one of the narrators) said: Al-Hasan and Al-Husain. So he said: 'I have ten children and I do not kiss any one of them.' So the Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever shows no mercy, he will be shown no mercy.
