Narrated 'Umar bin Abi Salamah: That he entered upon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he has some food. He said: Sit down O my son! Mention Allah's Name and eat with your right hand, and eat what is nearest to you. [Abu 'Eisa said:] It has been reported from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from Abu Wajzah As-Sa'idi, from a man from Muzainah, from 'Umar bin Abu Salamah. [Abu 'Eisa said:] The Hadith of Ibn 'Umar is a Hasan Sahih Hadith. It has been reported through other routes from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet (ﷺ). Malik bin Anas reported it from Nafi' from Ibn 'Umar in Mawquf - not Marfu' form.
