Aishah narrated: I have not seen anyone who hastened Zuhr more than Allah's Messenger nor Abu Bakr, nor Umar.

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا كَانَ أَشَدَّ تَعْجِيلًا لِلظُّهْرِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا مِنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَا مِنْ عُمَرَ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ وَخَبَّابٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي بَرْزَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَنَسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ الَّذِي اخْتَارَهُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ:‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ تَكَلَّمَ شُعْبَةُ فِي حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ مِنْ أَجْلِ حَدِيثِهِ الَّذِي رَوَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ سَأَلَ النَّاسَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى:‏‏‏‏ وَرَوَى لَهُ سُفْيَانُ،‏‏‏‏ وَزَائِدَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَرَ يَحْيَى بِحَدِيثِهِ بَأْسًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ:‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تَعْجِيلِ الظُّهْرِ.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ ظہر کو رسول اللہ صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے بڑھ کر جلدی کرنے والا میں نے کسی کو نہیں دیکھا، اور نہ ابوبکر اور عمر رضی الله عنہما سے بڑھ کر جلدی کرنے والا کسی کو دیکھا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- اس باب میں جابر بن عبداللہ، خباب، ابوبرزہ، ابن مسعود، زید بن ثابت، انس اور جابر بن سمرہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں اور عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کی حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- اور اسی کو صحابہ کرام اور ان کے بعد کے لوگوں میں اہل علم نے اختیار کیا ہے۔

Anas bin Malik narrated: Allah's Messenger prayed Zuhr when the sun had passed the zenith.

Abu Hurairah narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: In very hot weather, delay the (Zuhr) prayer until it becomes (a bit) cooler, because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell.

Abu Dharr narrated: Allah's Messenger was on a journey and Bilal was with him. So he wanted to call for the prayer, but he (the Prophet) said: 'Let it get cooler.' Then he wanted to call for the prayer, so Allah's Messenger said: 'Let it get to the cooler time of Zuhr.' He (i.e., Abu Dharr) said: Until we saw the shadows of the hillocks, then he commanded that the Iqamah be called and then led the people in prayer. Allah's Messenger said: 'The severity of heat is from the raging of Hell, so wait until it becomes cooler for the (Zuhr) prayer.'

Urwah narrated from Aishah: Allah's Messenger prayed Asr while the sun was (shining) in her chamber, (and) no shadow appeared in her chamber.

Al-Ala bin Abdur-Raman narrated that : he visited Anas bin Malik in his home in Al Basrah after finishing Zuhr, and his home was next to the Masjid. So he said: 'Stand to pray Asr. He (Al-Ala) said: So we stood to pray. When we were finished he (Anas) said: 'I heard Allah's Messenger saying: That is the prayer of the hypocrite. He sits watching the sun, until when it is between the horns of the Shaitan he stands and pecks out four (units of prayer), not remembering Allah in them but a little.
