Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The world ceases to exist is less significant to Allah than killing a Muslim man.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَزَوَالُ الدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ قَتْلِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ . حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ نَحْوَهُ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَعْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَبُرَيْدَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ وَرَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَهَكَذَا رَوَى سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ مَوْقُوفًا،‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ الْمَرْفُوعِ.

عبداللہ بن عمرو کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”دنیا کی بربادی اللہ کے نزدیک ایک مسلمان کے قتل ہونے سے کہیں زیادہ کمتر و آسان ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ہم سے محمد بن بشار نے بسند «محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن يعلى بن عطاء عن أبيه عن عبد الله بن عمرو» اسی طرح روایت کی ہے، لیکن انہوں نے اسے مرفوع نہیں کیا ہے، ۲- یہ روایت ابن ابی عدی کی روایت کے بالمقابل زیادہ صحیح ہے ( یعنی موقوف ہونا زیادہ صحیح ہے ) ، ۳- عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث کو ابن ابی عدی نے شعبہ سے، بسند «يعلى بن عطاء عن أبيه عن عبد الله بن عمرو عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» اسی طرح روایت کیا ہے، جب کہ محمد بن جعفر اور ان کے علاوہ دوسروں نے شعبہ سے بسند «يعلى بن عطاء» روایت کیا ہے، لیکن انہوں نے اسے مرفوع نہیں کیا ہے، اسی طرح سفیان ثوری نے یعلیٰ بن عطاء سے موقوفا روایت کی ہے اور یہ ( موقوف روایت ابن ابی عدی کی ) مرفوع حدیث سے زیادہ صحیح ہے، ۴- اس باب میں سعد، ابن عباس، ابوسعید، ابوہریرہ، عقبہ بن عامر، ابن مسعود اور بریدہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Narrated Abul-Hakam Al-Bajali: I heard Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri and Abu Hurairah mentioning from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that he said: 'If the inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth all took part in shedding the blood of believer, then Allah would cast them (all) in the Fire.

Narrated Suraqah bin Malik bin [Ju'shum]: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) judged that the son is to suffer retaliation for [killing] his father, but the father is not to suffer retaliation for [killing] his son.
