Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not prohibit share-cropping. But he ordered that they be helpful with each other.
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بنُ غَيْلَانَ،‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى السِّينَانيُّ،‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرنَا شَرِيك،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ أن رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يُحَرِّمْ الْمُزَارَعَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَكِنْ أَمَرَ أَنْ يَرفْقَ بَعْضُهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ،‏‏‏‏ وحَدِيثٌ رَافِعٍ فِيِه اضْطِرابٌ،‏‏‏‏ يُروى هَذَا الْحَدِيثٌ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَديِجٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عُمُومَتِه،‏‏‏‏ ويُروى عَنْهُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ظُهَيْرِ بْنِ رَافِعِ،‏‏‏‏ وَهُوَ أَحَدُ عُمُومَتِه،‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثٌ عَنْه عَلَى رِوَايَاتٍ مُخْتَلِفَةٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَفيِ الْبَاب:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَجَابِرٍ رَضِى اللهُ عَنْهُمَا.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مزارعت کو حرام نہیں کیا، لیکن آپ نے ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ نرمی کرنے کا حکم دیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- رافع کی حدیث میں ( جو اوپر مذکور ہوئی ) اضطراب ہے۔ کبھی یہ حدیث بواسطہ رافع بن خدیج ان کے چچاؤں سے روایت کی جاتی ہے اور کبھی بواسطہ رافع بن خدیج ظہیر بن رافع سے روایت کی جاتی ہے، یہ بھی ان کے ایک چچا ہیں، ۳- اور ان سے یہ حدیث مختلف طریقے پر روایت کی گئی ہے، ۴- اس باب میں زید بن ثابت اور جابر رضی الله عنہما سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Narrated Amr bin Shu'aib: from his father, from his grandfather that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever kills [a believer] deliberately, he is handed over to the guardians of the one killed. If they wish to, they have him killed, and if they wish to, they take the blood-money. That is thirty Hiqqah, thirty Jadha'ahs and forty pregnant camels. Whatever (amount more) they require from him, than that is for them (if they choose). THat is because of the severity of blood-money.
