Salim narrated from his father that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever frees a portion of a slave he owns, then he can afford the remainder of the price, then he should free him with his wealth.

حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ،‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَكَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَهُوَ عَتِيقٌ مِنْ مَالِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے مشترک غلام میں سے اپنا حصہ آزاد کیا اور اس کے پاس اتنا مال ہو جو اس کی قیمت کو پہنچ رہا ہو ( تو وہ باقی شریکوں کا حصہ بھی ادا کرے گا ) اور وہ اس کے مال سے آزاد ہو جائے گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Jabir narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whichever man is given a lifelong gift for himself and his offspring, then it belongs to the one whom it was given, it does not return to the one who gave it, for he has given a gift which shall be included in the inheritance.

Jabir narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The lifelong gift is permitted for its inhabitant, and the Ruqba is permitted for its inhabitant.
